S1E1 Fags, Shags and Kebabs

In Runcorn, two pubs sit close to each other: the Mayhew, where friends Janet, Donna, and Louise gather, and the Archer, frequented by Jonny and Gaz. When Donna tells Janet she's on the lookout for a boyfriend, Janet enlists Jonny to convince Gaz to join Donna on a blind date. Though both Donna and her mother Flo have their reservations, the date at the Mayhew turns out surprisingly well, even with Louise, now working as a barmaid, trying to stir things up and Jonny attempting to sabotage what he fears will lead to couple outings. Donna accompanies Gaz back to his flat, but her excitement wanes when she sees what he has hidden in his cupboard.
