S1E50 To an Endless Future

The Archangel, Eternal, and Kusanagi charge into the fray, determined to stop either side from unleashing weapons of mass destruction. Rau shoots down Flay's escape shuttle, killing all aboard. Flay's spirit appears before a devastated Kira to apologize and thank him. Kira takes down the Providence using the Freedom, while Athrun remotely detonates the Justice to obliterate GENESIS. As both the PLANTs and Earth Alliance fall into chaos, the PLANTs' renegade moderate faction steps in to propose a ceasefire, finally bringing the war to an end.
