Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (2002)

S1E23 Fateful Encounter

Kira is kept from joining Mu and Cagalli in their FX-550 Skygraspers by an attack from ZAFT submarine forces under Commander Marco Morassim. Cagalli’s Skygrasper is damaged and she has to withdraw, but she runs into Athrun’s transport plane. Her Skygrasper is shot down, yet she manages to bring down his transport as well, forcing Athrun to eject in his Aegis. By chance, the two end up stranded together on a deserted island.
