War and Remembrance (1988)

S1E1 Part 1 - 15th Dec 1941

Following the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor, Captain Victor 'Pug' Henry takes the helm of the USS Northampton, a naval cruiser. Meanwhile, his son Warren serves as a pilot aboard the USS Enterprise, while Byron, his other son, remains committed to the submarine USS Swordfish. Pug's wife Rhoda is entangled in an affair with Palmer Kirby, and Byron's wife Natalie faces a tough choice when a German diplomat proposes that she and her uncle Aaron Jastrow remain in Italy instead of heading to Palestine. Additionally, Pamela Tudsbury embarks on a global journey with her father, who will report for the BBC, and eagerly informs Pug of their planned stop in Hawaii.
