In 2022, Kaitlyn Braun reached out to over 40 doulas across Ontario, telling each she was carrying a stillborn baby conceived through sexual assault. Doulas rushed to her aid, but discrepancies in her accounts soon surfaced, setting off a startling chain of events that would draw in social media, lead to criminal charges, and raise unsettling questions about how far compassion should go.
